JB Bryson to (posthumously) receive SW School District award

Our friend and classmate, JB Bryson, has been selected as the Sedro-Woolley School District 2017 memorial honoree for the District Community Recognition Program.  Our congratulations and warm wishes go to his wife, Sue (also class of 1971) and his family. 

JB died as a result of injuries suffered during a rescue operation with Skagit Search and Rescue June 28, 2014.

Dear Friends,

The Sedro-Woolley School District is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the annual District Community Recognition Program which honors those who have so graciously dedicated themselves to the Sedro-Woolley School District and the Sedro-Woolley Community.  The recipients have demonstrated outstanding service to the community or demonstrated loyal support and outstanding accomplishments in areas such as community service, academics, performing arts, or athletics and these exemplary efforts are recognized as going beyond the typical measures of accomplishment.

The 2017 honorees are: JB Bryson (Memorial), Robyn Miller (District), Robert & Becky Gates (Community) and Tony Fore (Hall of Fame – Athletics)

A ceremony to honor this year’s recipients will be held on April 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sedro-Woolley High School Auditorium with a dessert reception following the awards. The public is invited to attend this warm and always entertaining evening.
