A little early this month - don't be caught off guard!  Come on out and visit with your "old" classmates!  Starbucks at Exit 232 off I-5.  5ish to 7ish.  We always have fun!

Monthly Coffee Hour - Tuesday, January 28th!

We're back to our normal schedule - the "last" Tuesday of the month for our regular coffee hours.  It's not quite dark at 5 p.m. now, so at least our drive to Starbucks (exit 232) won't be totally in the dark!



Come on out and enjoy a visit and a latte next  Tuesday!  We'll be there!

Monthly Coffee Hour - Tuesday, December 17th! Early!

Our December monthly coffee hour will be Tuesday, December 17^th!  5ish to 7ish.  Did you remember that it is early?

We normally meet on the LAST Tuesday of the month, but the last Tuesday of 2013 is New Year’s Eve!  And the one before that is Christmas Eve.  

Downtown Sedro-Woolley looks lovely, as usual.  Lots of charming shops to patronize, too.  Santa should make some stops at Cascade Fabrics, Oliver Hammer, and Simply Silver, among others. 

If you check out the live Sedro-Woolley cam at night (and it gets dark about 4:30 p.m. now) you will see the lighted lamp posts and the tree on Metcalf.  Don’t miss it!

Tromp on over to Starbucks tomorrow!  We’ll be there!  Merry Christmas!

Monthly Coffee Hour - Tuesday, November 26th!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our regular monthly coffee hour will be Tuesday, November 26^th!  5ish to 7ish.  Just before a very late Thanksgiving!

The east end of Cook Road is open – Murrow Street and the new traffic circle are in operation!  Reported rave reviews.   Still more work to do. 

Early warning:  Next month’s coffee hour will be Tuesday, December 17^th.  We normally meet on the LAST Tuesday of the month, but the last Tuesday of 2013 is New Year’s Eve!  And the one before that is Christmas Eve.  So let’s meet on the 17^th if we can. 

In other news, the Sedro-Woolley Community Thanksgiving Dinner is ON.  There was a notice of cancellation earlier this month, but the dinner has been restored.  Cascade Middle School.  12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.  By donation.

The downtown tree lighting and parade will be on Saturday, December 7^th.   3 p.m. – pony rides, miniature train rides, horse-drawn trolley rides.  4 p.m. – contest judging (see web site)  5 p.m. – tree lighting and parade  6-7 p.m. – Santa visits with kids at the Eagles Hall.  If you’re out of the area, you can watch the parade on the live Sedro-Woolley cam!

Monthly Coffee Hour - October 29th!

 

Class of 71 will have our regular monthly coffee hour on October 29th, at Starbucks at exit 232 (Cook Road) off I-5!  Last year we had several people come in costume...well, maybe one did...but how could we tell?  Come on out and see who is there!  Several folks have been really busy through the summer and early fall, and are now ready to come back to coffee hour!

Monthly Coffee Hour Tuesday, September 24th

Our monthly coffee hour always falls on the "last" Tuesday of the month, so it is sometimes early, sometimes late.  This month it seems to be a little early!

We enjoy a couple of hours of visiting and coffee treats from Starbucks.  We actually talk a lot about traffic...which is a big issue in Skagit County right now.  Lots of road construction and the permanent deck of the bridge was just put in last Saturday.  There is still more work to do on that bridge until about November.

Anyway, we would love to see YOU there!  5ish to 7ish. Come on out for the fun! 

Monthly Coffee Hour Tuesday August 27th - Starbucks at Exit 232

We had a great time at Darlene and Joel’s last month!  Lots of people came for the event – because there was food?  No!  It was for the company!

Our regular monthly coffee hour will be Tuesday, August 27^th!  5ish to 7ish.  We’re back to our regular schedule - at the same place we always meet…see subject line. 

Lots of road work going on in SW right now.  They’re rerouting the east end of the Cook Road to run between Walgreen’s and Bingham Park, and terminate on Hwy 20 in a traffic circle.  This will be a big change and the area where the contractors are working will be closed until mid-October.  Traffic is being rerouted on the Trail Road.  Here’s the official notice – it includes a map:

There is other roadwork going on at the same time – most notably on State Street near Paula Wilcox Brunn’s house!

Then, they’re going to install the permanent repair to the Skagit River bridge some time soon and I-5 will be closed and rerouted again during the installation.  There seems to be a traffic crew or an orange barrel everywhere you look!
