April coffee hour - Tuesday, April 30th! 5ish to 7ish

We have a coffee hour every month, even if it doesn't get posted here.  And we send out an e'mail reminder to all class members who have provided their e'mail addresses.

So this month it's on April 30th - always the "last" Tuesday of the month.  And it's always at the Woolley Market in downtown Sedro-Woolley.  The Woolley Market has been evolving!  They have great food prepared in the deli and a "beer wall" in addition to beverages.  Lots of live entertainment (other than us).  It's a super addition to our downtown scene. 

The one exception to our coffee hour schedule is our class pot luck in July.  And we'll pick a date for that, independent of our regular "last Tuesday" tradition.  The pot lucks are normally at Shirley Hooper Knapp's and they have really been fun.

So tiptoe on down to the Woolley Market on April 30th and see who is there!  We'll be waiting for you!

We had some rarely-seen attendees at the December coffee hour.  What?  You weren’t there?  You missed out!

The Woolley Market is changing things up and we are enjoying the changes.  The “beer wall” is popular and so are the new café items. 

We have had an especially mild winter here in Sedro-Woolley.  Lots of flowers coming up already.  If we don’t have a last minute freeze, SPRING is likely to be REALLY EARLY!!

February coffee hour will be Tuesday, February 26^th!

So trot on over to the Woolley Market on Tuesday!  We’ll be looking for you!

 

Monthly coffee hour - Tuesday, October 30th!

Yes, we still meet monthly for our famous "coffee hour" and lots of conversation!

Always on the "last" Tuesday of the month (unless that day is a holiday) and from 5ish to 7ish at The Woolley Market. 

We had a great summer gathering at Shirley's in July and traded lots of stories from the olden days.  Full of laughs and memories.  We don't seem to look any older!

Monthly Coffee Hour - Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at The Woolley Market!

Even though this blog hasn't been updated in a while...we are still having our monthly coffee hours!  We never miss!!  This all started when we were anticipating our 40-year reunion and now we're marching toward our 50-year reunion!

But that “last” Tuesday is sneaking up on us this month.  It is early!  Must be because we all still think it’s winter here.  Weather is projected to be warmer this week, but we’ll believe it when we see it.

So our monthly coffee hour is Tuesday, April 24^th from 5ish to 7ish at The Woolley Market! 

Tulip Festival is in full swing right now!  This is a great week to go to the tulip fields – word is that you don’t need your mud boots any more.

Woolley Market has new owners and is putting more emphasis on meals!  Eat on site or take it home!

So ease on over to the Woolley Market tomorrow and see who’s there!

JB Bryson to (posthumously) receive SW School District award

Our friend and classmate, JB Bryson, has been selected as the Sedro-Woolley School District 2017 memorial honoree for the District Community Recognition Program.  Our congratulations and warm wishes go to his wife, Sue (also class of 1971) and his family. 

JB died as a result of injuries suffered during a rescue operation with Skagit Search and Rescue June 28, 2014.

Dear Friends,

The Sedro-Woolley School District is pleased to announce this year’s recipients of the annual District Community Recognition Program which honors those who have so graciously dedicated themselves to the Sedro-Woolley School District and the Sedro-Woolley Community.  The recipients have demonstrated outstanding service to the community or demonstrated loyal support and outstanding accomplishments in areas such as community service, academics, performing arts, or athletics and these exemplary efforts are recognized as going beyond the typical measures of accomplishment.

The 2017 honorees are: JB Bryson (Memorial), Robyn Miller (District), Robert & Becky Gates (Community) and Tony Fore (Hall of Fame – Athletics)

A ceremony to honor this year’s recipients will be held on April 20 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sedro-Woolley High School Auditorium with a dessert reception following the awards. The public is invited to attend this warm and always entertaining evening.

Monthly coffee hour Tuesday, September 27th!

Fall is in the air!  So a hot latte (or beverage of your choice) at The Woolley Market sounds great!

See you Tuesday the 27th from 5ish to 7ish on the ground floor.  Do a little shopping while you're there and support our downtown businesses!

Monthly coffee hour, Tuesday, August 30th 5ish to 7ish

The HEAT of summer should taper off by Tuesday when we meet for coffee at The Woolley Market!  But they have lovely cool beverages as well as the hot ones.  Come on and meet us there!


We're sitting downstairs now instead of on the mezzanine.  There is another business upstairs and the seating has become more limited.  So we thought we'd leave it to the young people and save our knees on those stairs.

There's always lots to talk about and interesting things going on.  Be part of the conversation!
