Annual pot luck - Tuesday, July 28th - 5:30ish to whenever!

Our July monthly get-together will be our annual pot luck at Shirley Hooper Knapp’s house in Sedro-Woolley!

Tuesday, July 28th.  5:30ish to 7ish or beyond…

Note that we’re starting a little later – 5:30 – to give Shirley some time to get home and get ready for us!

Check the e'mail sent to all class members for Shirley's address and directions to her house.

We normally bring just whatever we feel like bringing and it always seems to make a successful meal.  We talked about “Mexican” as an idea for what to bring, but there is no plan…

Shirley says she’ll have water, soft-drinks, beer, and paper service (plates, napkins, etc.) and enough chairs.  We’ll bring food!  Salads, meats, casseroles, rolls, veggies, fruit, other desserts, and whatever you think of.  It will all work out.  THANKS to Shirley for hosting!

We always see folks at this gathering who might not be able to make it to the monthly coffee hours.  All are welcome!

So meander on out to Shirley’s on the 29th!  See you there!

Early Warning: Our August get-together will be Tuesday, August 25th at the Woolley Market  Back to our regular routine!

Class of 71 Monthly Coffee Hour April 28th! 5ish to 7ish.

Yep, even when I forget to post it, we still have our monthly coffee hour!  Always on the "last" Tuesday of the month.

Now at The Woolley Market, we meet upstairs in what used to be the mezzanine when the building was a JC Penney store back in the 1960's.

They have a nice "community table" upstairs where we can visit and laugh (!) without disturbing too many people.  Their barista downstairs does a Woolley Latte or whatever you like.  Plus, we can do some grocery shopping before we leave.

So come on and join us!  We even welcome folks from other classes.

Pretty soon it will be time to start planning our July pot luck.

Monthly Coffee Hour - Tuesday, January 27th - at The Woolley Market!

Our regular time and place now - 5ish to 7ish.  Come for a latte and do a little shopping at The Woolley Market!  They are such a great addition to our downtown merchants.  And generous with their space.  Upstairs in the mezzanine.  Where the Women's Department used to be when the store was a JC Penney.  Back in the day.

The February Coffee Hour will be Tuesday, February 24th.  Always the "last" Tuesday of the month.

Have you come to our coffee hours before?  Well, make this your fulfillment of a New Year's Resolution!!

Monthly Coffee Hour - Dec. 30, 2014, at the Woolley Market!

Tuesday, December 30th!  5ish to 7ish.  At the Woolley Market – corner of State and Metcalf.  The old JC Penney building. And other businesses since then.

Early Warning: Our January coffee hour will be Tuesday, January 27th.  Always the “last” Tuesday of the month.

No other events going on in SW in the immediate future, except that December 19th is Sedro-Woolley’s birthday!  Not kidding.  The town was incorporated under the “Sedro-Woolley” name on December 19, 1898.  Why didn’t we celebrate this when we were kids?

See you at the Woolley Market on the 30th!  To ring in the new year!

Downtown Sedro-Woolley Magic of Christmas Parade December 6th

The SW Magic of Christmas Parade will be on Saturday, December 6th.  If you are nearby, come on down!  That parade is always well-attended and very festive.  Parade starts at 5 but downtown will be hopping from 3 p.m. on.  Parade entries are required to be lighted, so everything is always pretty.  If you are not nearby, I have good news for you!  The downtown web cam is pointed right at the parade!

and click on the webcam tab.  Choose Hammer Heritage Square!  And you can see the parade from the comfort of your own home in your pajamas.

Although you might not be able to pick out your Class of 71 friends individually from that distance…but you know we’ll be well-represented!

And the first thing they do is light the downtown tree.  So be on time for the event!

Monthly Coffee Hour - November 25 at TheWoolley Market!

Oops...forgot to post the October Coffee Hour date, but you all know that it is always the "last" Tuesday of the month.  And Class of 71 members get a friendly reminder e'mail in the week preceding the event.  Are you getting your e'mail?  Some people have changed e'mail addresses and not updated them for class info.  So they have dropped off of the monthly distribution.  Maybe you have never given us your e'mail address!  Well, you should!  There will be a 45-year reunion in 2016 and you'll want to be informed!

The November Coffee Hour will again be at The Woolley Market in downtown Sedro-Woolley on Nov. 25th from 5ish to 7ish.  We're so happy to have a spot to gather that is in SW.  The Woolley Market is quickly becoming the place to "see and be seen".  So drop in for lunch, a latte, or a little grocery shopping on any day.  Then you'll be totally familiar with the place before our coffee hour gathering!

Come on down and meet up with your "old" (but still amazing) classmates!
