Sedro-Woolley High School Class of 1971 is pleased to
announce the winners of four scholarships, each in the amount of $2500:
Academic study:
Emilie Moser, a 2012 graduate of SWHS, plans to study
biomedical sciences. She is inspired by her grandfather to study cardiac
medicine. Emilie has assumed a variety of leadership roles during high
school, and volunteers to play piano at community events which support
education, such as those sponsored by the SWSD Foundation. She is the
daughter of Michael and Michelle Moser of Mount Vernon.
Erin Nesheim, a 2009 graduate of SWHS, is currently
studying at Seattle Pacific University with a double major in accounting and
business. She will intern with Moss Adams, LLP, in Everett this
summer. She makes time to volunteer with Junior Achievement and
organizations that help foster children. Erin is the daughter of Mike and
Teresa Nesheim of Sedro-Woolley.
Brennan Spinnie, a 2012 graduate of SWHS will study
Mechanical Engineering and computer aided design. Brennan plays piano and
has enjoyed leadership roles in his graduating class and school sports,
especially soccer and basketball. He contributed his design skills to the
Big Lake Elementary School parking lot redesign project. Brennan is the
son of Dennis and Kristi Spinnie of Mount Vernon.
Vocational study:
Elizabeth Rusnak is a 2012 graduate of SWHS and is
pursuing her passion for cooking as a current enrollee in the Culinary Arts
Program at the NorthWest Career and Technical Academy in Mount Vernon.
She is a member of the academically-recognized SWHS Girls Swim Team, and has
volunteered with food preparation at various community events. Elizabeth is the
daughter of Llane Rusnak-Burt of Sedro-Woolley.
